Q. Are your courier drivers uniformed?
A. Yes, all delivery personnel are uniformed in company issued professional attire including pictured ID badges. In fact, our customers will be able to access each driver’s picture/profile on our website in the not too distant future.
   
Q. Is it necessary to call well in advance to place a delivery order?
A. No, Swift operates on an 'on-demand' basis and responds to delivery requests when they are placed. However, customers can place their orders well in advance as long as the 'ready' pickup time and date is indicated be it a few hours, a day, week or month. Whichever time works best for you. As such, we ask that our customers have their shipments packaged properly, addressed accurately and ready to go prior to placing their orders as our couriers are often moments away.
   
Q. Does your company provide ‘proof of delivery’ signatures for out of town destinations anywhere?
A. Yes, our commitment to our customers is to have all readily available signatures (POD’s) entered into our system and updated once each shipment has been completed. Allow up to 24 hours for international shipments.
   
Q. How can I set up an account with Swift?
A. Very Easily! Simply contact us at: (613) 228-6571 or you can request an account online from the Swift website by completing and submitting a New Account form.
   
Q. How much will it cost to ship my package?
A. You can obtain pricing by using our online ‘quote option’ service once your account and password is active. Or you can contact Customer Service at (613) 228-6571 and give us your account number and we will give you an immediate quotation.
   
Q. Does Swift have any size restrictions/limits on packages?
A. Our delivery system handles all size shipments from envelopes and small packages, to boxes crates & skids.
   
Q. Does your company offer any guarantees on its deliveries?
A. Regarding our local, domestic and International shipments, Swift makes all attempts to deliver on-time as per the specific service level chosen and does provide a GUARANTEED performance assurance that all shipments are normally delivered on-time as indicated under normal working conditions. Out of town destinations for 9:00AM & 10:30AM are GUARANTEED with NO-CHARGE should shpments to MAJOR CENTRES ONLY not be completed as scheduled. (Adverse weather and traffic slowdowns can affect completion times somewhat)
   
Q. Do your drivers pass some sort of route test regarding the metropolitan Ottawa area?
A. Yes. Before hiring any driver, applicants are carefully screened first for vehicle standards compliance, knowledge of city streets, customer service background and presentation skills etc. Upon qualification, applicants are then sent out for training including inside classroom briefings followed by actual hands-on pickup/delivery tasking. Q. What kind of billing options does your company provide?
A. Swift offers weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/bi-monthly invoicing options. As well, there are provisions for electronics invoices in various formats including PDF files, etc.
